They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Walmyr Britto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Marcel de Brito made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Hugo Leão took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Marcel de Brito to make any attempt to save it. 78 minutes into the match, Efigenia's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Leão came free, but Marcel de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmyr Britto got free with Marcel de Brito in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the game, Eliseu Motta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Efigenia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Remo the free kick. Eliseu Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Efigenia's Marcel de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Berger in the 83rd minute of play. Claudinho Correia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Marcel de Brito made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Claudinho Correia sent off a good shot on target. If Walmyr Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Marcel de Brito successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
