In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Anesth's goalkeeper Claes Vall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Raí Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th match minute, Anesth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyryl Zurawski to maneuver through the defense. After 17 minutes, Adrianinho Bertassi made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Anesth's Claes Vall tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Pasculli in the 23rd minute of play forced Anesth's goalkeeper Claes Vall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Cyryl Zurawski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vágner Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raí Vinhas hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Patriots Brasil's Vágner Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Montenegro in the 29th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrianinho Bertassi in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claes Vall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adrianinho Bertassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrianinho Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Claes Vall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Patriots Brasil's Adrianinho Bertassi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claes Vall made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyryl Zurawski made a kick off. Pedrinho Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cyryl Zurawski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vágner Vasconcelos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute Pedrinho Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vágner Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Pedrinho Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anesth's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vágner Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Pedrinho Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Anesth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrinho Montenegro couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, Patriots Brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Cyryl Zurawski came free, but Vágner Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raí Vinhas hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Anesth's Claes Vall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Anesth from getting a goal against them. Cyryl Zurawski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Claes Vall was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Anesth lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
