After 13 played minutes CISDA got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Zanussi. A hard shot 15 in the game by Sydney Rosa from a close distance when the talented Sebastião Neiva managed to make a qualified save. CISDA's players were relieved. Sebastião Neiva made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Remo Dracena sent off a good shot on target. If Aílton Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Neiva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sydney Rosa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. CISDA's Igor Loyola quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eduardo Vargas, made in the 29th minute of the game. If Aílton Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Percy Rodrigues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aílton Torres's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Celso Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Percy Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Ribeiro in the 34th minute of play. Sebastião Neiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sydney Rosa in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute Remo Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aílton Torres to make the kick off. A collision led to Catone getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Claudinho Lago hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute, Claudinho Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, Aílton Torres notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Catone's Percy Rodrigues. Percy Rodrigues was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Remo Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Catone's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Augusto Bezerra in the 65th minute. After taking down the ball on Catone's corner Augusto Bezerra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sebastião Neiva quite easily take care of the ball. Catone's Augusto Bezerra couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for CISDA. Catone's Percy Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Catone from getting a goal against them. If Remo Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Catone booed when CISDA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. CISDA's Sebastião Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Dracena in the 89th minute of play. Remo Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catone's Lorenzo Erlantz got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Catone were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing CISDA to leave the ground with a draw.
