In the 7th minute, Laerte Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 minutes Futebol Club Neto's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nestor Marinho who took care of the corner kick. Futebol Club Neto's Fausto Canzano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iuri Viana in the 15th minute of play. Fausto Canzano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iuri Viana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 18 minute of play. In the 21st minute, Edinho Gaúcho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto Canzano was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Nelson Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futebol Club Neto's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelson Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 石永坚 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, Futebol Club Neto's goal looked a bit too open when Edinho Gaúcho came free, but Fausto Canzano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edinho Gaúcho scored 5-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto Canzano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 39 played minutes Futebol Club Neto got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Maia. After 40 played minutes Outer Banks got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Guimarães. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Outer Banks:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Futebol Club Neto:s goal. 石永坚 had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Nelson Luz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 42nd minute, Nelson Luz made a precise shot to the right of 石永坚. Outer Banks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After a rather tough play, Futebol Club Neto's Silvinho das Neves got a free kick in the 44th minute.
If Edinho Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55thth minute of the game Edinho Gaúcho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Futebol Club Neto's Fausto Canzano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Edinho Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Futebol Club Neto's Fausto Canzano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Cruz in the 60th minute of play. Edinho Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Canzano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edinho Gaúcho ran back to his position shaking his head. When Edinho Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Outer Banks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edinho Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. Fausto Canzano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iuri Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Vítor Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Canzano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Outer Banks fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Outer Banks's Perivaldo Cruz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Outer Banks's Nestor Marinho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Adhemar Fernandes in the 75 minute of the game. Futebol Club Neto's Silvinho das Neves managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vítor Tepedino in the 77 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinho Gaúcho in the 79th minute of play forced Futebol Club Neto's goalkeeper Fausto Canzano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iuri Viana took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Canzano. Fausto Canzano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. In the 87th match minute, Futebol Club Neto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Futebol Club Neto's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Cruz came free, but Fausto Canzano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Futebol Club Neto getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Basílio Azevedo hit a great ball. Perivaldo Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee ended the match the Outer Banks players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
