The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulão Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 5 minutes, Régis de Moraes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brejal and the Porto Sul Football players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Porto Sul Football booed when Brejal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Régis de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Calisto Flayre made a precise shot to the right of Paulão Marques. Brejal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-2 when César de Moraes sped through Brejal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paulão Marques. After 13 played minutes Brejal got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo Marques. After some careless play in the Brejal defense, Calisto Flayre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulão Marques. The Brejal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulão Marques should have stopped the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Calisto Flayre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulão Marques. Brejal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calisto Flayre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. 27 minutes into the match, Brejal's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Netto came free, but Paulão Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulão Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César de Moraes in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calisto Flayre in the 31st minute of play forced Brejal's goalkeeper Paulão Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulão Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Franklin Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Porto Sul Football's Caetano Novaes suffered a concussion in the 34th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 34 minutes, Franklin Prestes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brejal and the Porto Sul Football players grew even worse after the yellow card. Porto Sul Football's Váldson Bittencourt was substituted for Caetano Novaes. Franklin Prestes hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Alexander Mejía recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulão Marques came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Porto Sul Football's César de Moraes. But to his dismay, César de Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Paulão Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 42 played minutes Brejal got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Rossi. In the 45th minute César de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulão Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Brejal's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Bittencourt came free, but Paulão Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Sabóia made a kick off. Paulão Marques didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when César de Moraes got free with Paulão Marques in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. César de Moraes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Paulão Marques skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Calisto Flayre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulão Marques made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Samuel Netto sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes into the match, Calisto Flayre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulão Marques. Brejal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calisto Flayre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. Brejal's Paulão Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Mejía in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Mejía in the 71st minute of play forced Brejal's goalkeeper Paulão Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Alexander Mejía took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Paulão Marques to make any attempt to save it. Samuel Netto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulão Marques came out and tried to block the shot, but Samuel Netto slotted it home off the left post making it 0-12 in the 74th minute. Samuel Netto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Paulão Marques made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Netto in the 79th minute of play forced Brejal's goalkeeper Paulão Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Váldson Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulão Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Eurico de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brejal's Paulão Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Brejal from getting a goal against them. Brejal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when César de Moraes 90 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-14. 93 minutes into the match, César de Moraes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paulão Marques, 0-15. The Brejal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Porto Sul Football were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
