Hudson Arósio came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by E.C.Pelotas's Alfonso Leon. But to his dismay, Alfonso Leon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonel Arósio in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sobhy Paredes saved E.C.Pelotas from getting behind. Sobhy Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincent Pawlik in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute Eduard Polozov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sobhy Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Leon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Arósio having to interfere. E.C.Pelotas's Sobhy Paredes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Polozov in the 21st minute of play. Sobhy Paredes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Polozov in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Alfonso Leon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hudson Arósio was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Sobhy Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Arósio in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of E.C.Pelotas booed when Santo Amaro AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafin Tajo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Leon in the 36th minute of play forced Santo Amaro AC's goalkeeper Hudson Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sobhy Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wincent Pawlik, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Sobhy Paredes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduard Polozov's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murilo Neto got free with Hudson Arósio in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hudson Arósio made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Murilo Neto sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Alfonso Leon took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hudson Arósio. Hudson Arósio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. E.C.Pelotas made a substitution. Ronaldinho Gaúcho replaced Lionel Ronaldo. Sobhy Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Polozov in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Santo Amaro AC's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Neto came free, but Hudson Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murilo Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Hudson Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santo Amaro AC's Serafin Tajo got his second yellow card of the match in the 73rd minute. The referee ordered Serafin Tajo off the ground. A collision led to Santo Amaro AC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Serafin Tajo hit a great ball. After 77 minutes of play, E.C.Pelotas's Luke Modrić made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hudson Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th minute, Wilhelm Rolfsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Amaro AC:s Hudson Arósio showed great skill when he stopped Ataulfo Macho:s penalty. Luke Modrić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Arósio having to interfere. Gerson Moraes's late challenge caught a Santo Amaro AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerson Moraes helped the player get up and apologised. Gerson Moraes hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The supporters of Santo Amaro AC booed when E.C.Pelotas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luke Modrić didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Luke Modrić had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hudson Arósio. Santo Amaro AC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luke Modrić was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. E.C.Pelotas's Sobhy Paredes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Polozov in the 99th minute of play. Ataulfo Macho hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match.
