Santo Amaro AC's Cipriano Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Madureira's goalkeeper Cristian Coelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cipriano Hermes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Cristian Coelho 16 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Cipriano Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santo Amaro AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Hermes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th match minute, Santo Amaro AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Hermes to maneuver through the defense. Cipriano Hermes hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Durvalino Mello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Madureira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Cipriano Hermes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Cristian Coelho made a huge save. Cristian Coelho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eduard Polozov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 37 minute of play. The supporters of Santo Amaro AC booed when Madureira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Madureira defense, Eduard Polozov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Coelho. The Madureira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Coelho should have stopped the shot. Cristian Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincent Pawlik in the 62nd minute of play. Cristian Coelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1.
