Juan Velloso guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Bruno Henrique sped through Oranil's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan Velloso. Juan Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Spencer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Velloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Spencer in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Velloso saved Oranil from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Oranil's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Spencer came free, but Juan Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Edmílson Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Alberto Spencer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Juan Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Spencer, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s zone, Kléber Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Salgado came out of the goal and Kléber Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s Alberto Spencer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 40 minutes into the game, Alberto Spencer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Juan Velloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Spencer in the 44th minute of play. In the 46thth minute of the game Alberto Spencer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oranil's Juan Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 47 minutes of play, ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s Domenico Faieta made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Velloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Oranil players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ were winning 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caio Silva was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Oranil defense, Zé Augusto Secco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Velloso. The Oranil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Velloso should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Oranil's Juan Velloso got control of the ball when Caio Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juan Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Augusto Secco in the 66th minute of the match. Kléber Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute.
