Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Enio Sanches kicked off to start the match. Ewerton's Tomás de Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nildo Munhoz hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 10 minutes of play, Oranil's Kléber Saldanha made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcel dos Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th minute, Rui Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ewerton's Marcel dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléber Saldanha in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Tomás de Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcel dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Marcel dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés de Sousa in the 22nd minute of play. Nildo Munhoz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Tomás de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Freire having to interfere. Enio Sanches's late challenge caught a Oranil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enio Sanches helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Ewerton got a freekick which was hit by Enio Sanches. After a rather tough play, Oranil's Sérgio das Neves got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Moisés de Sousa struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Marcel dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oranil. Sérgio Freire came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Ewerton's Tomás de Amorim. But to his dismay, Tomás de Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Marcel dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes Ewerton got a freekick which was hit by Carlinhos de Souza. Ewerton's Marcel dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés de Sousa in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moisés de Sousa was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Tomás de Amorim sped through Oranil's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sérgio Freire. 61 minutes into the match, Oranil's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás de Amorim came free, but Sérgio Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Enio Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enio Sanches in the 74th minute of play. Ewerton's Marcel dos Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Ewerton from getting a goal against them. Enio Sanches blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Freire having to make a save. Enio Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Freire having to interfere. In the 89thth minute of the game Tomás de Amorim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oranil's Sérgio Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Enio Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Oranil's zone, Enio Sanches stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Freire came out of the goal and Enio Sanches tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
