Rodriguinho Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Pereira in the 10th minute of the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Gilberto Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fireball Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute Tiaguinho Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Gilberto Pereira fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Fireball Esporte Clube's Gilberto Pereira in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itália's goalie prevented a goal. Gil Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rodriguinho Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Tiaguinho Cavalcante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodriguinho Motta was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. A collision led to Fireball Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tiaguinho Cavalcante hit a great ball. If Helge Ödman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ulisses Vasconcelos fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fireball Esporte Clube's protests and gave Ulisses Vasconcelos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Fireball Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Itália's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Motta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiaguinho Cavalcante. Gil Magalhães came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rodriguinho Motta could save by the left post. After having played for 40 minutes, Gil Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fireball Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Helge Ödman scored 2-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kajetan Rasialdo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gil Magalhães in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguinho Motta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 53 played minutes Fireball Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Tiaguinho Cavalcante. Itália's Celso Osoro pulled a muscle in his leg after 56 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 56 minutes of play Fireball Esporte Clube's Tiaguinho Cavalcante was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Rodriguinho Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto Pereira might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodriguinho Motta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Pereira ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ulisses Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yoel Suarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gil Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Rodriguinho Motta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fireball Esporte Clube. Gil Magalhães scored 3-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodriguinho Motta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Itália's Christian Clemencin got a free kick in the 80th minute. Beolagh Cambuquira kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. When Beolagh Cambuquira fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itália's protests and gave Beolagh Cambuquira a yellow card for diving instead. If Erik de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Gilberto Pereira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Rodriguinho Motta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 93 minutes into the match, Gilberto Pereira notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Itália's Rodriguinho Motta. Rodriguinho Motta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gil Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Motta having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Fireball Esporte Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
