The supporters of Felicio EC booed when Gancho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fernando Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Felicio EC's Walmyr Quirino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Percival Sanches. Percival Sanches yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Fausto Maia hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Percival Sanches was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Armandinho Hermes might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Percival Sanches. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armandinho Hermes ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Gancho SS's Chicão Maia got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 36 played minutes, Felicio EC's İsmail Aydoğan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Percival Sanches came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Felicio EC reached it. 41 minutes into the game, Gancho SS's Fausto Maia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kaká Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. After 47 minutes of play, Felicio EC's Walmyr Quirino made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Percival Sanches was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Walmyr Quirino made a kick off. A collision led to Felicio EC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Manfredo Tepedino hit a great ball. After 64 played minutes Gancho SS got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Sergipano. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cléberson Simões during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Felicio EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléberson Simões to maneuver through the defense. Percival Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmyr Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute Walmyr Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 98thth minute of the game Walmyr Quirino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gancho SS's Percival Sanches was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gancho SS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Felicio EC.
