Rodrigo Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Adam Encuțescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rodrigo Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lucas Trigo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jerônimo Fantini showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Felipe Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Clube União Popular's goal looked a bit too open when Ademar Abraão came free, but Rodrigo Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Filip Milan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clube União Popular's Rodrigo Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Abraão in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Cascavel were awarded a corner. Pedro Luiz das Neves went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Pedro Luiz das Neves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rodrigo Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Adam Encuțescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Rodrigo Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Enio Marquez put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rodrigo Amorim. Enio Marquez struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Rodrigo Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cascavel. Cascavel's Lucas Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Cascavel from getting a goal against them. Lucas Trigo made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Gerson Maia sent off a good shot on target. If Ademar Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rodrigo Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Abraão in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ademar Abraão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Rodrigo Amorim successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 59 minutes, Percy Vergílio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clube União Popular and the Cascavel players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Clube União Popular:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cascavel:s goal. Ademar Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Rodrigo Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Amorim was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Adam Encuțescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adam Encuțescu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Rodrigo Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademar Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ademar Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Amorim having to interfere. Rodrigo Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adam Encuțescu in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute, Adam Encuțescu made a precise shot to the right of Rodrigo Amorim. Clube União Popular's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Enio Marquez's late challenge caught a Clube União Popular's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enio Marquez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Enio Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes, Clube União Popular's Hugo Moreno shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucas Trigo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube União Popular reached it. Lucas Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Palmeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Filip Milan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rodrigo Amorim. The goal made the score 1-6. When the final whistle sounded Cascavel left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Clube União Popular.
