After taking down the ball on Mundial EC's corner Will de Backer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lara Peñaranda quite easily take care of the ball. Edgar Appel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raphael Penha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Nils Bengtsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beneficiente's Lara Peñaranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lara Peñaranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Balada, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Balada in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lara Peñaranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mundial EC's Raphael Penha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Mundial EC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Beneficiente booed when Mundial EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Wilian Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beneficiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilian Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Mundial EC booed when Beneficiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Remo Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mundial EC's protests and gave Remo Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. Remo Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio Souto got free with Raphael Penha in the 50th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Mundial EC booed when Beneficiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute of the match Will de Backer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lara Peñaranda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. André Balada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Lara Peñaranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beneficiente were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Mundial EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antônio Souto took the corner. Lara Peñaranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Bengtsson in the 80th minute of the match. If Edgar Appel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luís Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After 84 played minutes, Mundial EC's Şehzade Tecer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lara Peñaranda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mundial EC reached it. A hard shot by Alessandro de Sousa from long distance, 87 minutes into the match, got Lara Peñaranda's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 87th minute Nils Bengtsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lara Peñaranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 played minutes Mundial EC got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Varela. Mundial EC's André Balada was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 90th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Beneficiente's Lara Peñaranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Beneficiente from getting a goal against them. After 96 minutes of play, Mundial EC's André Balada made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lara Peñaranda was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle went the supporters of Mundial EC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Beneficiente side.
