André Balada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fernando Linares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Mundial EC's Delfim Varela was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luiz Fernando Linares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Raphael Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chicão Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Nils Bengtsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Luiz Fernando Linares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Mundial EC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Delfim Varela hit a great ball. Ostrália's Luiz Fernando Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Bengtsson in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Nils Bengtsson made the kick off in the second half. Nils Bengtsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Ostrália's Michal Osikowicz managed to work through Mundial EC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Michal Osikowicz dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ostrália made a substitution. Cícero Barbosa replaced Robin Bergvall. Ostrália's Angelo Veloso was substituted for Adhemar Arósio. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mundial EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dudu Varela was slow to take the kick. During this time Ostrália's players had a chance to rest. Narciso Proenças short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Raphael Penha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 81 minutes, Delfim Varela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mundial EC and the Ostrália players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Delfim Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the game, Şehzade Tecer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mundial EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ostrália the free kick. A collision led to Mundial EC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Amílton Munhoz's late challenge caught a Ostrália's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chicão Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ostrália's Dito Ferreira got a free kick in the 92nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amílton Munhoz in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Fernando Linares saved Ostrália from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Narciso Proença reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raphael Penha. The goal made the score 0-4.
