The wind increased when Igor Mineiro made the kick off in the second half. Paulão Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delfim Varela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Jeferson Fontes made a huge save. Jeferson Fontes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Reinaldo de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mundial EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinaldo de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeferson Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oséias Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Germano Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Mundial EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mundial EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
