The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jeferson Fontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Appel in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Zézinho Paulista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeferson Fontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Everest Futebol Clube booed when Beneficiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilian Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Jeferson Fontes made a huge save. Everest Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Wilian Santos scored to the left of an out of position Jeferson Fontes, making the score, 2-0. In the 20th minute, Zézinho Paulista fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jeferson Fontes, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Appel got free with Jeferson Fontes in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséias Falcão in the 25th minute of play forced Beneficiente's goalkeeper Lara Peñaranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeferson Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilian Santos in the 27th minute of play. Jeferson Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulão Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Lara Peñaranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Igor Mineiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lara Peñaranda. Beneficiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Mineiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Jeferson Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesinha Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Everest Futebol Clube's Jeferson Fontes got control of the ball when Zézinho Paulista tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Zézinho Paulista took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Jeferson Fontes to make any attempt to save it. Paulão Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Lara Peñaranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Igor Mineiro fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Everest Futebol Clube's protests and gave Igor Mineiro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Everest Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Paulão Lara hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Lara Peñaranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oséias Falcão in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Cesinha Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beneficiente's Lara Peñaranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Mineiro in the 64th minute of play. The corner led Everest Futebol Clube's Cláudio Botelho to fire away a dangerous shot which Lara Peñaranda despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Beneficiente getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Joélson Pitta hit a great ball. Igor Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Lara Peñaranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Everest Futebol Clube. Lara Peñaranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oséias Falcão in the 74th minute. Oséias Falcão had several of the Beneficiente's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-2 score and a disappointed Lara Peñaranda as he didn't even see the shot coming. 82 minutes into the match, Edgar Appel notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Everest Futebol Clube's Jeferson Fontes. Jeferson Fontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antônio Souto in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeferson Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeferson Fontes came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Beneficiente's Edgar Appel. But to his dismay, Edgar Appel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Jeferson Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Appel in the 92nd minute of the match. The supporters of Everest Futebol Clube booed when Beneficiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Beneficiente's Nicolas Pena got a free kick in the 94th minute. Cláudio Botelho's shot from long distance in the 95th minute was not bad at all, but Beneficiente's Lara Peñaranda knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Romário Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeferson Fontes having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Beneficiente fans cheered their team off the field, for while Everest Futebol Clube had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
