After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Wanderson de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. FRIENDS CITY's supporters rose to their feet, but Wanderson de Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the match, FRIENDS CITY's Elias Souto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Tróia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Bola FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Tróia should have stopped the shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Tróia prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
