It was a well-played corner which Murillo Galvão managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Cesinha do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Dracena in the 7th minute of the match. Antônio Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Eliézer Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Lúcio da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC La Masia's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio da Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliézer Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antônio Simão might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliézer Sergipano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antônio Simão ran back to his position shaking his head. 10 minutes into the match, FC La Masia's Antônio Simão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliézer Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliézer Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Kabelo FC's zone, Lúcio da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliézer Sergipano came out of the goal and Lúcio da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesinha do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marconi Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Simão in the 22nd minute of play forced Kabelo FC's goalkeeper Eliézer Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliézer Sergipano made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Lúcio da Rocha sent off a good shot on target. Eliézer Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Simão in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Murillo Galvão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eliézer Sergipano. Murillo Galvão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a little luck, Kabelo FC's Eliézer Sergipano got control of the ball when Matheus Soeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Lúcio da Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 41 played minutes Kabelo FC got a freekick which was hit by Gil Tinoco. Eliézer Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lúcio da Rocha in the 42nd minute. When FC La Masia's Matheus Soeiro in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kabelo FC's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristóvão Dracena to make the kick off. Eliézer Sergipano came out of the goal and Lúcio da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC La Masia's Matheus Soeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC La Masia's Tony Quadros was substituted for Alexsandro Correia. After a rather tough play, Kabelo FC's Leonardo Guerra got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Cristóvão Dracena came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cesinha do Vale could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Simão in the 70th minute of play forced Kabelo FC's goalkeeper Eliézer Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72ndth minute of the game Matheus Soeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kabelo FC's Eliézer Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the game, FC La Masia's Lúcio da Rocha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliézer Sergipano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Kabelo FC's Eliézer Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Simão in the 82nd minute of play. After 84 played minutes Kabelo FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Palmeira. In the 85th minute of the match Diogo Bittencourt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eliézer Sergipano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of FC La Masia booed when Kabelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Lúcio da Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC La Masia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kabelo FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
