Antônio Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Tróia came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by FC La Masia's Lúcio da Rocha. But to his dismay, Lúcio da Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 14 played minutes FC La Masia got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Simão. Paulo Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Simão in the 18th minute of the match. Alexsandro Correia scored 0-3 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Tróia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio da Rocha in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Antônio Simão made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Tróia. Bola FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bola FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Diogo Bittencourt was slow to take the kick. During this time FC La Masia's players had a chance to rest. Antônio Simão took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Tróia. Paulo Tróia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Bola FC's zone, Antônio Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Tróia came out of the goal and Antônio Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antônio Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Paulo Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bola FC booed when FC La Masia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Antônio Simão notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Bola FC's Paulo Tróia. Paulo Tróia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilmar Dante to strike the kick off in the second half. Lúcio da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Paulo Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC La Masia. The referee ignored Bola FC's protests and gave Benjamin Carioca a yellow card for diving instead. Benjamin Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Paulo Tróia made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Lúcio da Rocha sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Antônio Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC La Masia's supporters rose to their feet, but Antônio Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luisão de Lima hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. If Lúcio da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC La Masia's Antônio Simão got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Simão in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulo Tróia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. FC La Masia's Antônio Simão got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lúcio da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 86th minute.
