Arí Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, td2's Nurkan Özek got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lucas Trigo. 40 minutes into the match, td2's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Milan came free, but Sandro Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Cascavel were awarded a corner. Pedro Luiz das Neves went to the cornerflag to take it. Severino Sampaio charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severino Sampaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cascavel getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Severino Sampaio hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Ganix to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Marcelo Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandro Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Abraão in the 55th minute of play. Sandro Mesquita was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yuri Paraibano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 62 minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Vitinho de Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Trigo. Cascavel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitinho de Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Mazinho de Sena was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Mazinho de Sena hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Nurkan Özek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The td2 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Cascavel's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
