After taking down the ball on td2's corner Nurkan Özek fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luiz Fernando Linares quite easily take care of the ball. 8 minutes into the match, td2's goalkeeper Sandro Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chicão Alvarenga. A collision led to td2 getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Reinaldo Leite hit a great ball. After 9 played minutes td2 got a freekick which was hit by Robinho de Queiroz. Luiz Fernando Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho de Moraes in the 16th minute of play. Sandro Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Alvarenga in the 18th minute of play. Sandro Mesquita made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Nilson Botelho sent off a good shot on target. Diogo Macedo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for td2. Nurkan Özek stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luiz Fernando Linares. 0-1. Olívio Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Sandro Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Alvarenga in the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by td2's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Josué Freitas was slow to take the kick. During this time Ostrália's players had a chance to rest. In the 40th minute Pedro Alfonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ostrália getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Chicão Alvarenga hit a great ball. Nilson Botelho in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sandro Mesquita, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nurkan Özek in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fernando Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chicão Alvarenga made a kick off. Chicão Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Mesquita having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo da Silveira in the 56th minute of play forced Ostrália's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, Ostrália was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Macedo to maneuver through the defense. Sandro Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilson Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, td2's Anderson Loureiro got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 76 minutes into the match, Erasmo Paraíba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sandro Mesquita. td2's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erasmo Paraíba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ostrália made a substitution. Pedro Paulo Penha replaced Adhemar Arósio. Robinho de Queiroz's late challenge caught a Ostrália's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robinho de Queiroz helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 played minutes td2 got a freekick which was hit by Robinho de Queiroz. In the 87th match minute, Ostrália was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chicão Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. A nice corner shot did that Josué Freitas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sandro Mesquita quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
