The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Souto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The penalty shot was made by Jeronimo Sagrario, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of HELVETIA's Mazinho Fernandez. 0-12. 90 minutes into the game, Nelson Rezende recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mazinho Fernandez. Nelson Rezende showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-13. In the 93rd minute, Frederico Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded EC São José left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than HELVETIA.
