A collision led to HELVETIA getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Sílvio Luís Melo hit a great ball. Tarcísio Vides succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 12th playminute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tarcísio Vides in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mazinho Fernandez saved HELVETIA from getting behind. If Luís Fernando Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Fernandez having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarcísio Vides got free with Mazinho Fernandez in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Potomati Team booed when HELVETIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tarcísio Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Fernandez having to interfere. After 34 minutes, Gabriel Pirani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Potomati Team and the HELVETIA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Potomati Team's Gabriel Pirani got a free kick in the 34th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Pirani got free with Mazinho Fernandez in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Denílson Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marquinhos Saraiva was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tarcísio Vides to strike the kick off in the second half. HELVETIA's Mazinho Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarcísio Vides in the 51st minute of play. When Sebastião de Senna fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HELVETIA's protests and gave Sebastião de Senna a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes, Potomati Team's Pedro Paulo Cardoso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mazinho Fernandez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Potomati Team reached it. 60 minutes into the match, Potomati Team's Tarcísio Vides sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mazinho Fernandez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. HELVETIA's Mazinho Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarcísio Vides in the 64th minute of play. After having played for 64 minutes, Gabriel Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potomati Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mazinho Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tarcísio Vides's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Gabriel Pirani might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mazinho Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Pirani ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Potomati Team's zone, Denílson Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marquinhos Saraiva came out of the goal and Denílson Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tarcísio Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frederico Vale ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Sílvio Luís Melo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Potomati Team's Marquinhos Saraiva did a great save. When Potomati Team's Tarcísio Vides in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye HELVETIA's goalie prevented a goal. Mazinho Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Fernando Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the game, Potomati Team's Tarcísio Vides nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mazinho Fernandez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Mazinho Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcísio Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to HELVETIA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Alex Paes hit a great ball. HELVETIA's Mazinho Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Paul Palsma in the 96th minute of play. Potomati Team were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of HELVETIA for a fine match.
