Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Alexandre Souto started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes into the game, Alexandre Souto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marquinhos Saraiva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jean-Paul Palsma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dorian Arce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. When EC São José's Alexandre Souto in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Potomati Team's goalie prevented a goal. In the 14th minute, Flavinho Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Potomati Team's Marquinhos Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Souto in the 15th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Potomati Team got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Freitas. Alexandre Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Saraiva having to interfere. Marquinhos Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Sagrario, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Souto in the 27th minute of play forced Potomati Team's goalkeeper Marquinhos Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Souto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marquinhos Saraiva was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Alexandre Souto sped through Potomati Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marquinhos Saraiva. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Souto in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marquinhos Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Potomati Team's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Souto came free, but Marquinhos Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marquinhos Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Souto in the 36th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Potomati Team defense, Alexandre Souto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marquinhos Saraiva. The Potomati Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marquinhos Saraiva should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Pirani during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 40 played minutes Potomati Team got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Pirani. 41 minutes into the game, EC São José's Alexandre Souto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marquinhos Saraiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tarcísio Vides made a kick off. Glauco Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jeronimo Sagrario came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the EC São José fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Sagrario couldn't finish the play. Marquinhos Saraiva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alexandre Souto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 68 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tarcísio Vides in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorian Arce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Marquinhos Saraiva managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when EC São José's Alexandre Souto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Potomati Team's Marquinhos Saraiva got control of the ball when Glauco Carneiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexandre Souto might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marquinhos Saraiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Souto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th match minute, Potomati Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Paul Palsma to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Souto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marquinhos Saraiva having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as EC São José's Alexandre Souto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marquinhos Saraiva. That made the score 0-7 after 82 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcísio Vides in the 85th minute of play forced EC São José's goalkeeper Dorian Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Potomati Team's Marquinhos Saraiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Potomati Team from getting a goal against them. Marquinhos Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandre Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Marquinhos Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tarcísio Vides recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded EC São José left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Potomati Team.
