Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) invictus's Raí de Moraes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes into the match, invictus's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Afonso came free, but Sérgio Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulinho Afonso took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sérgio Cearense. Sérgio Cearense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Paulinho Afonso was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. Catanduvense FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 22nd minute Paulinho Afonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. invictus's Sérgio Cearense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save invictus from getting a goal against them. Paulinho Afonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Délio de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Délio de Barros came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sérgio Cearense could save by the left post. Paulinho Afonso did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Sérgio Cearense 35 minutes into the match. Silvinho Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Rémy Col fired a really elegant long shot, but Sérgio Cearense threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Paulinho Afonso sped through invictus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sérgio Cearense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulinho Afonso to make the kick off. Sérgio Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Alfredo do Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catanduvense FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio de Barros in the 58th minute of play forced invictus's goalkeeper Sérgio Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, invictus's goal looked a bit too open when Délio de Barros came free, but Sérgio Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute Alfredo do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio de Barros in the 61st minute of play. Délio de Barros took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sérgio Cearense. Sérgio Cearense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulinho Afonso in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. invictus's Sérgio Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Afonso in the 69th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Délio de Barros put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sérgio Cearense. Amílton Recife hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Álvaro Carioca made in the 80th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Catanduvense FC's Luiz Gustavo Pontes. 81 minutes into the game, Paulinho Afonso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Sérgio Cearense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of invictus:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Catanduvense FC:s goal. Délio de Barros walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Juvenal de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Sérgio Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Iuri Sarmento was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Alfredo do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Sérgio Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Catanduvense FC fully deserved thier win.
