Baraúnas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaime Trevisan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Jaime Trevisan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dida Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Jaime Trevisan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dida Taffarel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dida Taffarel came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Black fox's Jaime Trevisan. But to his dismay, Jaime Trevisan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 29th minute, Jaime Trevisan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dida Taffarel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Baraúnas's zone, Jaime Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dida Taffarel came out of the goal and Jaime Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Augusto Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Augusto Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Baraúnas's Carlos Augusto Lara got a free kick in the 36th minute. Black fox's Jaime Trevisan got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Trevisan in the 39th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Jaime Trevisan notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Baraúnas's Dida Taffarel. Dida Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Black fox getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Marcelinho Cavalcante hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Ortiz got free with Avram Popoiu in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ezequiel Ortiz made a kick off. Baraúnas's Dida Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Baraúnas from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Trevisan in the 56th minute of play forced Baraúnas's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Black fox's Cleiton Braga quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dionisio Cambiasso, made in the 65th minute of the game. With a little luck, Baraúnas's Dida Taffarel got control of the ball when Jaime Trevisan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baraúnas's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Jaime Trevisan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dida Taffarel, 0-7. Black fox's Cleiton Braga managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joel Martins in the 75 minute of the game. In the 76th minute Jaime Trevisan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute of the match Black fox got a corner. Baraúnas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Che Guevara ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Jaime Trevisan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dida Taffarel. That made the score 0-9 in the 81 minute of play. In the 84th play minute Jaime Trevisan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dida Taffarel. 0-10. Dida Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Trevisan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Trevisan got free with Dida Taffarel in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Black fox's zone, Ezequiel Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Avram Popoiu came out of the goal and Ezequiel Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head.
