The Londrina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Trevisan got free with Jozef Volders in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Trevisan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jozef Volders read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. With a little luck, Londrina's Jozef Volders got control of the ball when Jaime Trevisan tried to sneak it across the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Arí Nunes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Avram Popoiu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 46th minute Gonçalo Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avram Popoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Trevisan in the 47th minute of play forced Londrina's goalkeeper Jozef Volders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Londrina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Americo Silban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Jozef Volders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Silban in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Black fox. Krzysztof Wiater stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jozef Volders. 3-2. Londrina's Hortêncio Vieira was substituted for Luís Fabiano Paraíba.
