Palmares Futebol Clube's Leonardo Paz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Palmares Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Ainoan ∞'s Süruri Şahbey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joãozinho Pernambucano in the 19th minute of play. Süruri Şahbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jürgen Klinsmann in the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Joãozinho Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmares Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joãozinho Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonardo Paz made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Xavierlada Belon sent off a good shot on target. Ainoan ∞'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlinhos Barreto in the 28th minute. Carlinhos Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Paz having to make a save. Xavierlada Belons short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Leonardo Paz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 36th minute of the match Ainoan ∞ got a corner. Palmares Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlinhos Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Carlinhos Barreto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Palmares Futebol Clube's Leonardo Paz did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joãozinho Pernambucano in the 38th minute of play forced Ainoan ∞'s goalkeeper Süruri Şahbey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jürgen Klinsmann got free in front of the goal in the 38th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Süruri Şahbey was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 44thth minute of the game Jürgen Klinsmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ainoan ∞'s Süruri Şahbey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leonardo Paz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Zádrapa in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herbert Zádrapa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Palmares Futebol Clube's Haciqämbär Carabajal got a free kick in the 51st minute. A collision led to Ainoan ∞ getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Murillo Lira hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jürgen Klinsmann got free with Süruri Şahbey in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Herbert Zádrapa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Leonardo Paz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Ainoan ∞ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joélson Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. Ainoan ∞ made a substitution. Jose Abecia replaced Herbert Zádrapa. A collision led to Ainoan ∞ getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Joélson Trancoso hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Acep Abidin. With a little luck, Ainoan ∞'s Süruri Şahbey got control of the ball when Acep Abidin tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Abecia in the 69th minute of play forced Palmares Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Leonardo Paz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ainoan ∞'s zone, Joãozinho Pernambucano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Süruri Şahbey came out of the goal and Joãozinho Pernambucano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlinhos Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Süruri Şahbey successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Süruri Şahbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jürgen Klinsmann in the 83rd minute of the match. Ainoan ∞'s Süruri Şahbey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acep Abidin in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ainoan ∞'s Silvinho Meira got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Haciqämbär Carabajal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palmares Futebol Clube's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
