Spectators: 7684 (Terracing: 5764, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kléber Rodrigues kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Quico Sánchez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan. Sérgio Trevisan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 9 minutes into the match, Cambridge Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Quico Sánchez came free, but Sérgio Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovanni Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Loyola in the 15th minute of play. Cambridge Esporte Clube's Kléber Rodrigues came free and shot a quick shot against goal 16 minutes in the game, fortunately Geovanni Arruda had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Kléber Rodrigues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Geovanni Arruda. That made the score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. Cambridge Esporte Clube were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after FIEL TUPÃ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teodoro Dantas took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Cambridge Esporte Clube's zone, Göran Ekberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Trevisan came out of the goal and Göran Ekberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacá Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elivélton Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Arruda having to interfere. Kléber Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elivélton Aparecido could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Geovanni Arruda made a huge save. Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Carioca in the 40th minute of play. After 43 minutes, Teodoro Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cambridge Esporte Clube and the FIEL TUPÃ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cambridge Esporte Clube's Teodoro Dantas got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Birol Refet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Trevisan having to make a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cacá Carioca to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Cambridge Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Dracena. In the 55th minute, Cacá Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geovanni Arruda came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Cambridge Esporte Clube's Teodoro Dantas. But to his dismay, Teodoro Dantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 62nd minute, Cacá Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 68 minutes on the clock, Oscar Dracena commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 69th match minute, Cambridge Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Dracena to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Birol Refet sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan didn't even have to move. Elivélton Aparecido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Zé Roberto Vergílio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cambridge Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FIEL TUPÃ the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Zé Roberto Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cacá Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elivélton Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sérgio Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birol Refet in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Cambridge Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elivélton Aparecido to maneuver through the defense.
