The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, SPORT PRIMUS FC's Paredes Muro got control of the ball when Gandalf Bilbo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, Gandalf Bilbo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paredes Muro. Gandalf Bilbo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Pedrão Nascimento hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Zé Paulo Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SPORT PRIMUS FC's Paredes Muro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dragões de Campo Grande were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after SPORT PRIMUS FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mané Martins took the corner. Gandalf Bilbo made a great header on Dragões de Campo Grande's corner, it was just that SPORT PRIMUS FC's Paredes Muro managed to reach the ball for a save. After 15th play minutes Gandalf Bilbo shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Paredes Muro and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Ovidio Cesaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardinho Moreira was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Paredes Muro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Trancoso in the 21st minute of the match. Gandalf Bilbo in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paredes Muro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Valdir Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gandalf Bilbo got free with Paredes Muro in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Paulo Trancoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paredes Muro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Paulo Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paredes Muro having to interfere. SPORT PRIMUS FC's Paredes Muro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gandalf Bilbo in the 57th minute of play. Carlos Alberto Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Ricardo Vianna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dragões de Campo Grande's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SPORT PRIMUS FC the free kick. In the 65th match minute, Dragões de Campo Grande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Vianna to maneuver through the defense. After 67 minutes Dragões de Campo Grande's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leonard Majewski who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Michel Ferraz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ricardinho Moreira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 68th minute, SPORT PRIMUS FC's Leonard Majewski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardinho Moreira. Ricardinho Moreira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Ricardinho Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Majewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd match minute, Dragões de Campo Grande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Vianna to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Dragões de Campo Grande's Ricardinho Moreira got control of the ball when Ilya Duryagin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valdir Teixeira hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Leonard Majewski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardinho Moreira. The tension between the SPORT PRIMUS FC and the Dragões de Campo Grande players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 played minutes Dragões de Campo Grande got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo Trancoso. Dragões de Campo Grande's Ricardinho Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Dragões de Campo Grande from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the SPORT PRIMUS FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dragões de Campo Grande.
