In the 11th minute, Vitalie Tabãrã got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Desbravadores F C's Paulão Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Carioca in the 13th minute of play. Paulão Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Ekberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Quico Sánchez scored 0-3 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulão Barreto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Göran Ekberg notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Desbravadores F C's Paulão Barreto. FIEL TUPÃ's Geovanni Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebiu Arvinte in the 57th minute of play. In the 64th minute of the match, Filipe Neto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulão Barreto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Quico Sánchez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulão Barreto was relentless in the 65th minute of the game.
