When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tadeu Cosme sped through Chester Bennington's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diamantino Nunes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theo Machado in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilvan Sanches saved Green Squad FC from getting behind. In the 11th minute of the match Chester Bennington got a corner. Green Squad FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sérgio da Silva ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Chester Bennington's corner Sérgio da Silva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gilvan Sanches quite easily take care of the ball. In the 17th minute Ulisses Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Chester Bennington's Theo Machado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilvan Sanches narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilvan Sanches was a little too slow when Theo Machado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-1. After a rather tough play, Chester Bennington's Theo Machado got a free kick in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu Cosme in the 22nd minute of play forced Chester Bennington's goalkeeper Diamantino Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diamantino Nunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonçalo Maia went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Chester Bennington booed when Green Squad FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taio Jauregui didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Chester Bennington's Gilvan Sanches threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jack-Peter Grealish, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Chester Bennington getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Oliver Van Den Hout hit a great ball. In the 38th minute of the match Ulisses Antunes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diamantino Nunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Green Squad FC's attack was well implemented in the 39th minute, but when Tadeu Cosme was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 41st minute, Theo Machado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chester Bennington fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Diamantino Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeu Cosme in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jessie Pinkman was the one to do the kick off. Jack-Peter Grealish struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Gilvan Sanches didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chester Bennington. A collision led to Chester Bennington getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Rubinho Bertassi hit a great ball. Gilvan Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theo Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Green Squad FC's goal looked a bit too open when Theo Machado came free, but Gilvan Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Bertassi charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubinho Bertassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diamantino Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Sérgio da Silva hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Jack-Peter Grealish managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chester Bennington's supporters rose to their feet, but Jack-Peter Grealish was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilvan Sanches breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack-Peter Grealish in the 75th minute of play forced Green Squad FC's goalkeeper Gilvan Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Chester Bennington getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jack-Peter Grealish hit a great ball. Diamantino Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 81 played minutes Green Squad FC got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Pernambucano. In the 82nd minute Theo Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Jack-Peter Grealish left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chester Bennington fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Green Squad FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sérgio da Silva was slow to take the kick. During this time Chester Bennington's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Theo Machado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gilvan Sanches quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 92 minutes into the match, Jack-Peter Grealish had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilvan Sanches. Green Squad FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jack-Peter Grealish was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Green Squad FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chester Bennington.
