In the 4th minute, Dario Palombi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Internacional RS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Leon Uxio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinei Gøl, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Brasil Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Palombi in the 11th minute of play forced Razer Sphex's goalkeeper Leon Uxio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Razer Sphex getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sven-Åke Gali hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Razer Sphex's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Gøl came free, but Leon Uxio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Razer Sphex got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Maraschin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Paraibano in the 24th minute of play forced Razer Sphex's goalkeeper Leon Uxio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dario Palombi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Dario Palombi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Uxio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 30 minutes into the match, S.C. Internacional RS's Brasil Brasil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leon Uxio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 32 played minutes Razer Sphex got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Rocha. Remo Motta came free in the 33rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Leon Uxio, but to the joy of Razer Sphex's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Sven-Åke Gali's late challenge caught a S.C. Internacional RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Åke Gali helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Razer Sphex got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Åke Gali. 39 minutes into the game, Narciso Negri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Leon Uxio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Razer Sphex's Sven-Åke Gali got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 43rd minute of the match Remo Motta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leon Uxio skillfully saved the ball. When Rafael Maraschin fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Razer Sphex's protests and gave Rafael Maraschin a yellow card for diving instead. Rafael Maraschin hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half S.C. Internacional RS were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romário Aparecido made a kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Razer Sphex's goalkeeper Leon Uxio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dario Palombi. After 52 minutes Razer Sphex's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Remo Motta who took care of the corner kick. The corner led S.C. Internacional RS's Narciso Negri to a score. 0-4 in the 52nd minute. If Dinei Gøl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Negri got free with Leon Uxio in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Razer Sphex's Leon Uxio got control of the ball when Dinei Gøl tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Dinei Gøl reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leon Uxio. The goal made the score 0-5. 70 minutes into the game, Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Martino Pozuelos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. S.C. Internacional RS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Remo Motta in the 78th minute. Leon Uxio made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Dario Palombi sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Dinei Gøl reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leon Uxio. The goal made the score 1-6. Dinei Gøl received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leon Uxio came out and tried to block the shot, but Dinei Gøl slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 85th minute. David Teran kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Leon Uxio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Gøl in the 96th minute of play. S.C. Internacional RS played a much better game than Razer Sphex and deserved their victory. The Razer Sphex players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
