Eriberto Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Caldebrazza's Luís Paulo Faria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eriberto Borges. Eriberto Borges yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Zé Roberto Moreno scored 2-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eriberto Borges, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stergios Stefanoulis was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to S.C. Bakroger getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Luís Paulo Mendonça hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the game, Luís Paulo Mendonça recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alessandro Linares. Luís Paulo Mendonça showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. S.C. Bakroger made a substitution. Snorre Nordahl replaced Flavinho Pinho. After 71 minutes of play, Caldebrazza's Zé Roberto Moreno made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eriberto Borges was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caldebrazza's Alessandro Linares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Caldebrazza from getting a goal against them. Alessandro Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eren Saygılı in the 77th minute.
