In the 12th minute Renato Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 倪亮 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Guilherme Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Clube Regatas do Flamengo's Saturnino Verdejo got a free kick in the 18th minute. Frank Donatos short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got 倪亮 to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Sena in the 20th minute of play forced Clube Regatas do Flamengo's goalkeeper 倪亮 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Donato who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of 倪亮 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of GURIZADA MEDONHA booed when Clube Regatas do Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Dimo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardo Fonseca. GURIZADA MEDONHA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the referee ended the match the GURIZADA MEDONHA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
