An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Monteiro in the 12th minute of play forced Pontal FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugênio Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 18 minutes of play, Pontal FC's Sílvio Amorim made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Vítor Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Sílvio Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Vítor Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Vítor Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Amorim in the 27th minute of play. Sílvio Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. José Vítor Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, GrandBulls's Magno Quadros got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After the first half Pontal FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

GrandBulls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pontal FC the free kick. The supporters of Pontal FC booed when GrandBulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Magno Quadros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GrandBulls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pontal FC the free kick. In the 58th match minute, GrandBulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magno Quadros to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Pontal FC's Sílvio Amorim slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Vítor Carneiro. That made the score 0-3 after 60 minutes of play. Sílvio Amorim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. José Vítor Carneiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Sílvio Amorim slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 69th minute. In the 73rd minute, Pontal FC's Sílvio Amorim dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 77th match minute, GrandBulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Baptista to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Nuno de Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Vítor Carneiro. GrandBulls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno de Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. GrandBulls's José Vítor Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save GrandBulls from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Pontal FC's Sílvio Amorim dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. In the 91st minute Sílvio Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Ferraz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugênio Monteiro went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score.
