Despite this José Vítor Carneiro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tomé Araújo might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Vítor Carneiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomé Araújo ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tomé Araújo sped through GrandBulls's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Vítor Carneiro. In the 17thth minute of the game Tomé Araújo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GrandBulls's José Vítor Carneiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Tomé Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Scragbadun FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomé Araújo couldn't finish the play. The Scragbadun FC fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Scragbadun FC's Tomé Araújo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 28 minutes into the game, Scragbadun FC's Martti Kukkur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Vítor Carneiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Martti Kukkur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomé Araújo took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Vítor Carneiro. José Vítor Carneiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After 43 minutes of play, Scragbadun FC's Ingvar Wallin made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Vítor Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Scragbadun FC were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugênio Monteiro to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Tomé Araújo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of José Vítor Carneiro, 0-8. If Tomé Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Tomé Araújo took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for José Vítor Carneiro to make any attempt to save it. Tomé Araújo scored 0-10 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Vítor Carneiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 65 minutes, Reinaldo Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scragbadun FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinaldo Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomé Araújo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, José Vítor Carneiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tomé Araújos short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got José Vítor Carneiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 0-11 when Tomé Araújo sped through GrandBulls's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Vítor Carneiro. Scragbadun FC made a substitution. Dagoberto Ramalho replaced Waldemar Zachemski. José Vítor Carneiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomé Araújo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-12 in the 76 minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Martti Kukkur notched a goal, 0-13, to the right of GrandBulls's José Vítor Carneiro. José Vítor Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute, Tomé Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Scragbadun FC's Tomé Araújo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 88th minute, Magno Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Vítor Carneiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomé Araújo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-15 in the 89 minute of play. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind GrandBulls's goalkeeper José Vítor Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomé Araújo got free with José Vítor Carneiro in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Vítor Carneiro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vicente Bezerra. Tomé Araújo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, José Vítor Carneiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The GrandBulls fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Scragbadun FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
