Tomé Araújo scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Éthan Raffin was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The crowd rose to their feet as Frank Donato kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Fernando Catarinense. That made the score 1-2 in the 47 minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
