An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Schmidt in the 17th minute of play forced Lazio's goalkeeper Maurício Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Lazio got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Berger. Lazio's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Franklin Schmidt scored to the left of an out of position Maurício Loureiro, making the score, 1-0. In the 22nd minute, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's Egídio Couto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Franklin Schmidt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurício Loureiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Yao Yi Chao scored 2-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Álvaro Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's Egídio Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franklin Schmidt in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurício Loureiro saved Lazio from getting behind. Egídio Couto's late challenge caught a Lazio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egídio Couto helped the player get up and apologised. Egídio Couto hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The supporters of Lazio booed when THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yao Yi Chao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Álvaro Amaral made a huge save. Franklin Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Álvaro Amaral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yao Yi Chao in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Franklin Schmidt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurício Loureiro was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. After 69 minutes Lazio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Júnior Tinoco who took care of the corner kick. Maurício Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Schmidt in the 71st minute of play. When THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's Franklin Schmidt in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lazio's goalie prevented a goal. Maurício Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 78th match minute, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. Franklin Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Maurício Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's goalkeeper Álvaro Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yao Yi Chao. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yao Yi Chao got free with Álvaro Amaral in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ademir Berger struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Álvaro Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lazio. THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
