The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dário Pires during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lobos do Cerrado booed when E.C TAUBATÉ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Clóvis Toscano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The E.C TAUBATÉ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléber de Mendonça in the 10th minute of play forced E.C TAUBATÉ's goalkeeper Morjan Al Sayer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Arruda in the 13th minute of play forced Lobos do Cerrado's goalkeeper Oscar Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lobos do Cerrado's Oscar Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Lobos do Cerrado from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute Adhemar Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morjan Al Sayer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toninho Arruda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Oscar Leite made a huge save. Oscar Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 31st match minute, Lobos do Cerrado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the game, Clóvis Toscano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oscar Leite. Clóvis Toscano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 39th match minute, E.C TAUBATÉ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Pena to maneuver through the defense. Adhemar Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Lobos do Cerrado's goalkeeper Oscar Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toninho Arruda. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Paraense in the 43rd minute of play forced E.C TAUBATÉ's goalkeeper Morjan Al Sayer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Morjan Al Sayer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Paraense in the 44th minute of the match. Adhemar Paraense got in the 45th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Morjan Al Sayer handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Morjan Al Sayer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kléber de Mendonça went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adhemar Paraense made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Lobos do Cerrado got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Chaves. Oscar Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, E.C TAUBATÉ's Morjan Al Sayer got control of the ball when Adhemar Paraense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lobos do Cerrado's Oscar Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Sein in the 59th minute of play. Morjan Al Sayer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Custódio, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After some careless play in the Lobos do Cerrado defense, Toninho Arruda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Leite. The Lobos do Cerrado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Leite should have stopped the shot. E.C TAUBATÉ's Morjan Al Sayer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save E.C TAUBATÉ from getting a goal against them. Morjan Al Sayer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléber de Mendonça in the 72nd minute of play. When E.C TAUBATÉ's Clóvis Toscano in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lobos do Cerrado's goalie prevented a goal. Oscar Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Arruda in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Lobos do Cerrado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Leite came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by E.C TAUBATÉ's Clóvis Toscano. But to his dismay, Clóvis Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Kléber de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87thth minute of the game Noel Custódio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but E.C TAUBATÉ's Morjan Al Sayer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oscar Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Napoleon Frodyma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Noel Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morjan Al Sayer having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, E.C TAUBATÉ's goalkeeper Morjan Al Sayer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilson Chaves. Adhemar Paraense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Morjan Al Sayer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
