Betão Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Militros F.C.'s Oséas Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jiang Zheng Yin in the 13th minute of play. Washington Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Soeiro having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Motta Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Machado came free, but Alberto Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias Freire to strike the kick off in the second half. When David Costa came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Militros F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Costa couldn't finish the play. Elias Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Oséas Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Motta Futebol Clube:s Alberto Soeiro showed great skill when he stopped David Costa:s penalty. After a rather tough play, Motta Futebol Clube's Hílton Loyola got a free kick in the 86th minute. Alberto Soeiro made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Washington Peixoto sent off a good shot on target. After 90 played minutes Motta Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Alves. In a very dangerous position, a player in Motta Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Militros F.C.. David Costa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberto Soeiro. 3-3. Hílton Loyola's late challenge caught a Militros F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hílton Loyola helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Motta Futebol Clube's zone, Betão Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Soeiro came out of the goal and Betão Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
