Valeri Zabelin made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Pedrão Pereira sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Pedrão Pereira put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Valeri Zabelin. In the 26th minute Pedrão Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valeri Zabelin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrea Napoleone struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Valeri Zabelin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Landulfos FC. Pedrão Pereira might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valeri Zabelin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrão Pereira ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in A.D. Imperial's zone, Pedrão Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valeri Zabelin came out of the goal and Pedrão Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flávio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Maravilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Dadá Maravilha made a precise shot to the right of Flávio de Azevedo. Landulfos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 44 played minutes A.D. Imperial got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Teles. Naldo da Silveira hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedrão Pereira was the one to do the kick off. Landulfos FC's Andrea Napoleone got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrea Napoleone charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrea Napoleone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With his leg Flávio de Azevedo managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when A.D. Imperial's Dadá Maravilha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, A.D. Imperial's Ruy Teles got a free kick in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Pedrão Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Landulfos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrão Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrão Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrea Napoleone got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Flávio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá Maravilha in the 80th minute of the match. A.D. Imperial were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Landulfos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clemente Massa took the corner. After some careless play in the A.D. Imperial defense, Pedrão Pereira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valeri Zabelin. The A.D. Imperial fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valeri Zabelin should have stopped the shot. In the 86th match minute, A.D. Imperial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruy Teles to maneuver through the defense. Pedrão Pereira struck a weak shot in the 90th minute.
