MACUMBA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vitinho Pontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Vitinho Pontes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Manga Santos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Manga Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lubomír Meszároš went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Manga Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lubomír Meszároš in the 34th minute of the match. Vivaldo Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, MALAIA FDFDF's Romildo Binder ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manga Santos. Manga Santos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Antoni Basaik made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, MALAIA FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazinho Correia to maneuver through the defense. In the 55thth minute of the game Lubomír Meszároš who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MACUMBA's Manga Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Feliciano Jaen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The nice shot from Feliciano Jaen in the 59thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Belmiro Negri had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The tension between the MACUMBA and the MALAIA FDFDF players grew even worse after the yellow card. MALAIA FDFDF's Giovani Neto was substituted for Edinho Lopez. The supporters of MALAIA FDFDF booed when MACUMBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball.
