In the 4th minute, NEWCASTLE's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kajar Aibast fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Blink Forever FC's Evandro Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Frédson Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th play minute Evandro Gaúcho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Walmyr da Silva. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Kajar Aibast put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Walmyr da Silva. 26 minutes into the game, Kajar Aibast cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Walmyr da Silva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Válbson Loyola sped through NEWCASTLE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Walmyr da Silva. Rodrigo de Brito scored 4-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Zanette, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Gaúcho in the 44th minute of play forced NEWCASTLE's goalkeeper Walmyr da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The wind increased when João Pedro Donatello made the kick off in the second half. NEWCASTLE's Walmyr da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pedro Donatello in the 54th minute of play. Walmyr da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Sena hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Evandro Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blink Forever FC's Alfred Bålström got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walmyr da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pedro Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Antônio Carlos Pernambucano's late challenge caught a NEWCASTLE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antônio Carlos Pernambucano helped the player get up and apologised. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Blink Forever FC fully deserved thier win.
