Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rodrigo de Brito kicked off to start the match. Walmyr da Silva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Glauco Rodrigues in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walmyr da Silva saved NEWCASTLE from getting behind. Academia Santista CIMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dráusio de Queirós in the 16th minute. It was a well-played corner which Zhang Chen Chuan managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Wilian Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilian Pirani in the 20th minute of play forced NEWCASTLE's goalkeeper Walmyr da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilian Pirani in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walmyr da Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Wilian Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Academia Santista CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilian Pirani couldn't finish the play. Walmyr da Silva came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Santista CIMZ's Wilian Pirani. But to his dismay, Wilian Pirani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The supporters of Academia Santista CIMZ booed when NEWCASTLE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Academia Santista CIMZ's Wilian Pirani in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NEWCASTLE's goalie prevented a goal. Wilian Pirani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 36 minutes of play, Academia Santista CIMZ's Wilian Pirani made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walmyr da Silva was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the game, Academia Santista CIMZ's Wilian Pirani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walmyr da Silva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. In the 44th minute, Wilian Pirani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walmyr da Silva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Academia Santista CIMZ's Wilian Pirani got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilian Pirani to make the kick off. Dráusio de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Walmyr da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walmyr da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilian Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th match minute, Academia Santista CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the match, NEWCASTLE's goal looked a bit too open when Wilian Pirani came free, but Walmyr da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilian Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr da Silva having to interfere. The supporters of Academia Santista CIMZ booed when NEWCASTLE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Wilian Pirani dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Walmyr da Silva, 0-8. In the 87th minute, Mané Garrinchinha made a precise shot to the right of Walmyr da Silva. NEWCASTLE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-10. In the 92nd minute of the game Nico Gonçalves made a throw-in which Valdomiro Nunes played forward. When Mané Garrinchinha came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Academia Santista CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Garrinchinha couldn't finish the play. Academia Santista CIMZ's Mané Garrinchinha was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
