Minaçu Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giorgian De Arrascaeta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Rio Arinos's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Ronald came free, but Kęstutis Raziulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Minaçu Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luiz Valle came free, but Rodolfo Rodriguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Paiva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Rodolfo Rodriguez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rodolfo Paiva had several of the Minaçu Esporte Clube's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 47 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Rodolfo Rodriguez as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rio Arinos's Enrique Jacinto was substituted for Pedro Luiz Valle.

Minaçu Esporte Clube's Rodolfo Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Jacinto in the 66th minute of play. When Gil Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Rio Arinos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Arósio couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the game, one of Minaçu Esporte Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 68th minute there was a penalty for Rio Arinos. Vítor Dracena stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rodolfo Rodriguez. 5-0. Rodolfo Rodriguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Paiva in the 72nd minute of play. If Enrique Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Rodriguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodolfo Rodriguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Arósio in the 77th minute of play. After 79 minutes Minaçu Esporte Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Liu Yang Feng who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Rio Arinos's Liu Yang Feng to fire away a dangerous shot which Rodolfo Rodriguez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Rio Arinos's Vítor Dracena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Rodriguez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 87th minute, David Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodolfo Rodriguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Paiva in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Agnaldo Maranhense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Minaçu Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio Arinos the free kick.
