But to his dismay, Josué Camargo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ruy Cambuquira kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Camargo in the 35th minute of play forced Chuteira Santa F.C's goalkeeper Reginaldo Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of East Tokyo United booed when Chuteira Santa F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Denílson Silveira put in a rough tackle. In the 40th minute, one of Chuteira Santa F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chuteira Santa F.C. Josué Camargo took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reginaldo Simão. Reginaldo Simão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josué Camargo made a kick off. Hílton Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Félix in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, East Tokyo United's Anselmo de Souza got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Breno Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Josué Camargo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Reginaldo Simão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joaquin Markel took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reginaldo Simão. Reginaldo Simão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Reginaldo Simão made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Josué Camargo sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Chuteira Santa F.C getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Isaltino Ferreira hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Chuteira Santa F.C's Breno Meira got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 82ndth minute of the game Rômulo Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but East Tokyo United's Hílton Zonta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Chuteira Santa F.C defense, Ruy Cambuquira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reginaldo Simão. The Chuteira Santa F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reginaldo Simão should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Chuteira Santa F.C's Reginaldo Simão got control of the ball when Josué Camargo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ruy Cambuquira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Simão having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded East Tokyo United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chuteira Santa F.C.
