After 9 played minutes Minaçu Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Peres. Reginaldo Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Araújo in the 21st minute of the match. Rômulo Neto struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Rodolfo Rodriguez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chuteira Santa F.C. A sloppy throw-in by Agnaldo Maranhense in the 32nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chuteira Santa F.C's Cauan Pena. Chuteira Santa F.C's Reginaldo Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Araújo in the 37th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Chuteira Santa F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tostão Félix to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonçalo Araújo to strike the kick off in the second half. Giorgian De Arrascaeta's late challenge caught a Chuteira Santa F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giorgian De Arrascaeta helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Neto in the 60th minute of play forced Minaçu Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Rodolfo Rodriguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Peres hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of Minaçu Esporte Clube booed when Chuteira Santa F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jano Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Minaçu Esporte Clube's zone, Rômulo Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Rodriguez came out of the goal and Rômulo Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rômulo Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Chuteira Santa F.C's Jano Arantes got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The supporters of Chuteira Santa F.C booed when Minaçu Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Many of Minaçu Esporte Clube's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Minaçu Esporte Clube may have spent more time on the ball, but Chuteira Santa F.C were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
