When Baldomero Jurdan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 20 minutes had been played. The supporters of GUARULHOS FC booed when AGE Guarany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Jurdan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hortêncio Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvaro Galbarruri in the 23rd minute. Rui Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Costa having to interfere. AGE Guarany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Niculae Marioteanu scored to the left of an out of position Hortêncio Costa, making the score, 1-1. Hortêncio Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvaro Galbarruri in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Rui Vander lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Hortêncio Costa. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

57 minutes into the game, Alvaro Galbarruri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Hortêncio Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Rui Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Niculae Marioteanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GUARULHOS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Vander in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio Costa saved AGE Guarany from getting behind. Hortêncio Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niculae Marioteanu in the 68th minute of the match. When GUARULHOS FC's Niculae Marioteanu, in the 68th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for GUARULHOS FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niculae Marioteanu in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the match, AGE Guarany's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Vergílio came free, but Hortêncio Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Giuseppe Gerber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giuseppe Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ignacio Llinares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GUARULHOS FC's Ignacio Llinares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save GUARULHOS FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to AGE Guarany getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Rafael Veloso hit a great ball.
