After taking down the ball on AGE Guarany's corner Ernesto Branco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rodriguinho Lara quite easily take care of the ball. Rodriguinho Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baldomero Jurdan's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. When AGE Guarany's Baldomero Jurdan, in the 18th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for AGE Guarany. After 20 minutes, Giuseppe Gerber made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Assembleia - FSCMZ's Rodriguinho Lara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. AGE Guarany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Leme in the 41st minute of play forced AGE Guarany's goalkeeper Hortêncio Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Agostinho Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beto Maranhense to strike the kick off in the second half. Alf Ödmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hortêncio Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Ödmann in the 54th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Baldomero Jurdan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Rodriguinho Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Assembleia - FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hortêncio Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Sousa in the 74th minute of play. With a little luck, Assembleia - FSCMZ's Rodriguinho Lara got control of the ball when Baldomero Jurdan tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, AGE Guarany's Rodriguinho Lara threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Giuseppe Gerber, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. AGE Guarany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ernesto Branco in the 83rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Ernesto Branco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rodriguinho Lara quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Beto Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Costa having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Rafael Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AGE Guarany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Assembleia - FSCMZ the free kick. In the 86th minute, Rafael Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agostinho Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Costa having to interfere. Hortêncio Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beto Maranhense's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. If Agostinho Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
